What do you think of the US justice system, given this experience? I was extremely impressed with the system as I saw it functioning. The judge and attorneys on both sides were smart, thorough, and really seemed to care.... Can we have these guys as the presidential candidates instead?

Good question. Voting doesn't work. It's too easy to rig the elections. I've been saying for fifty years it's just a ruse to make people think they are free. Actually... Let me correct myself.. No, that specific description is not accurate. There was no formal system in the 1950s–1960s requiring White House approval of reporters in general, or requiring them to disclose and get pre-approval of what they would print or announce.... And follow up, what if we were simply talking about the governmental law of wherever you live (state, country, county, province, district, region, etc)
