What do you think of the US justice system, given this experience? I was extremely impressed with the system as I saw it functioning. The judge and attorneys on both sides were smart, thorough, and really seemed to care.... - onok, not to be a downer or start a fight or offend anyone , I just would like to ask if anyone here has thoughts on the global political scene. I am 58 and have never given two fucks about politics because I just always knew it was a joke, a scam, a game being run on the people. But the moves lately have caught my attention. Yet, I do not watch TV at all. for almost 10 years. Because it is an tool used to control perception and thereby behavior. And I like to be free from control. I have some very radical beliefs, but I am always interested in learning how other people feel and think about their life. I know I am intelligent enough to believe I do not know everything and also that every belief I have now has been expanded from something that came before it so all of my beliefs are subject to be expanded. so if you engage with me be prepared to not take anything I say as something I expect you to adapt to. I have strong feelings, radical beliefs, and I would love seeing if anyone else is fed up with the entire system as I am. 🤸🤸🤸🌼byHerbalrph...
Are you an American? I believe lack of participation and keeping our politicians accountable has been 2 of the biggest issues with how We, the People, have treated of relationship with our ‘governing’ bodies (local, state, and federal).... This makes a lot of sense to me. It also makes sense that the founders were afraid of a king and therefore maybe extra-limited the executive power, in such a way that it's a good thing that it grew some in a world where there's not a real thread of a King being installed.... Sure. One solution that has a huge number of possibly insurmountable downsides is very early selection (probably via standardized testing) into training programs. Sort of like identifying gifted kids and putting them in special programs. Who does this selection?... Thanks, I appreciate that you came back to this and updated it; I think the willingness to self-reflect and "publicly" update is such a beautiful rare humility and so needed. can you imagine if our governments could do this?...
