Which diet is best?
Which diet do you believe is the best for overall human health? I’ve done a million and one ways of eating, and I’ve currently landed on prioritizing protein, fiber, and colors (diverse veggies).... - nat...
Anyone drinking molecular hydrogen rich water?
A friend of mine bought a water bottle that turns regular water into hydrogen rich water. She’s been drinking this water for several months and swears by it. She says she has more energy, recovers easily from physical exercise, and her senses are heightened.... I love this inquiry! I am a lifelong dieter, and feel frequently dissatisfied. At present, I just want to live a long time and be healthy and happy. The best tip given to me to date, and it has been something that has left calm in my system, was from a dietician, and she recently... - nat...
I’ve tried so many ways of eating, usually to lose weight. But none I did in the past were sustainable. Some were even harmful. More recently I’ve landed on prioritizing proteins, green leafy vegetables, other veggies and low glycemic carbs.... - Shera JoyCry...
Not sure if i’ve been to that place where i’m like don’t need my mental gym workouts… but DEFINITELY do it with FOOD… i do it all the time. i eat great, feel great, look great (sorry is this a brag -it’s for a point)…. and then i say same sentiment "Well, i did it.... - renee...
I try for at least 100g protein a day (120g is better) from mostly vegetarian sources. I supplement with powders. I will not get near these numbers unless I track my intake. I believe even the 100g can result in muscle loss.... two things come up for me in response (sorry, no answers here! no idea what diet is best for overall health, or even whether there is a universal, or cultural, or person-specific, or person-specific-time-specific answer).... Attraction is out of our control, Microbe overlords are controlling our actions
So, I watched this documentary on Netflix last night, which reignited my interest in the gut microbiome. I’m connecting dots between what we’re learning about how the gut biome impacts mood and actions with the elusive nature of attraction.... Did you know that if you think something makes you sicker, you're more likely to feel worse, even though your symptoms may not actually be any different?... Strange curveball: I used to be all about probiotics and fiber and I’ve been trying enzymes instead…getting better poo results and feeling better. Did some reading online about how the pancreas makes enzymes, gets worse at it as we age, AND (to my surprise) said that eating too... - nat...
"Hydrogen water, also known as hydrogen-rich water or hydrogenated water, is regular water that has molecular hydrogen gas (H2) added to it [1]. Water can be hydrogenated by dissolving molecular hydrogen gas into water under elevated pressure, resulting in a supersaturated... Dude I really appreciate the inquiry this is part of why I just stay clear of this space. I have no idea what’s good or not! Kinda like Nat’s hydrogen water post.... I agree with folks’ comments about protein, veggies, fruit, colors being important to diet. An important factor that I was missing before I decided to lose a weight a few years ago, was how important water and water content is in my diet.... - renee...
Right! I like this. Many other things have priority until I learn how serious these are…then I may change the order. I’m reading headlines where Drs are saying things like headphones are frying brains.... I call this the your "avocado eater type". The brown in an avocado is often just cosmetic. Some people can’t eat any of the brown. Some people eat around it. I met a really smart person who never flinched at the brown.... - plasterslug...
...at the very least, part of this 'conundrum' is predicated on the human tendency to think in binary terms; we want to believe that things are either "good for you" and you should eat more of them, or "bad for you" and you should eat less (or none) of them.... ah man thanks for sharing. the rampant prescribing of opiods scares me; seems so easy for people with no prior history to get addicted and have it super negatively impact their lives, and most of the time the tylenol + advil combo is more effective....
