truth.....a relationship

It seems to me that the discussion frequently engaged in by humanity regarding truth (what it is or isn't) is a discussion long obsessed over throughout history. 

Of late, I have been pondering the thought shared from the Judeo-Christian worldview that truth has a source.  And yet even deeper, truth is a being.

Why is this relevant to the rational thinker, especially the one who prides themselves in being truthful as a communicator, and in their daily dealings with others? ----------well..........

If one can accept the premise that the God of the Bible is indeed the Creator of all things, there is a fascinating shift in one's relationship to the truth that takes place..........

One is now participating in a belief that truth originates from a source outside the space/time dimension that one here on planet earth observes themselves to be bound to......

Intrinsic to this belief is that this source is a limitless being, which is quite a stark contrast to the limitations of the human condition on planet earth.....

So, I offer this thought:  a potential freedom of engaging in the aforementioned belief system, is that one who accepts that truth originates from a limitless being finds that.....instead of attempting to generate truth themselves .....they now relinquish that impulse, and find themselves seeking to be in relationship with this being who is truth.

How is this relevant now?  Well, I ask instead: when has discovering truth ever been irrelevant?  It is even most tangibly relevant in a society that tolerates (even celebrates) lying.  You see, for me, it is all the lying that causes me to "double-down" in accepting that there is a limitless being who is "the way, the truth, and the life." (Jesus)

Mankind has always questioned the integrity of the Bible as a document.....but what mankind cannot seem to accomplish is: to "undo" the believer's connection to THE truth after the believer has encountered Him.

As actual truth is engaged with and accepted by a person, lies then become exponentially more simple to identify and denounce.  This engagement with the truth is a process of reforming the mind of the believer.  What seemed like a giant leap of blind faith has actually transformed the lens through which the believer sees life. The clarity of this 'lens' reveals how great of a leap it is to not believe.....and the limitations of this current dimension and the presence of evil are made clear.

Ultimately, the believer's consolation regarding a world full of lies and pain is that: one can speak truth in the midst of it all, and potentially partner with THE Truth to stop evil.  In practice, the believer is encouraged to be an ambassador for truth.....it is indeed their new mission.  The role is most effective when this new 'ambassador' admits there is no successful mission without direct relationship, guidance , and intervention from the Source.

Further still, as difficult as it is for the 'rational thinker' to accept it...the Bible makes it clear that this Creator has plans that go far beyond this current space/time dimension.  That too is a promise worth holding on to for the heart who is willing to accept it.  It is very difficult for the believer to accept that the Creator's future plans will be a dull existence.

Furthermore, it seems important within this philosophy to say that: TRUTH at home in its place of origin cannot be tainted in any way by politics, nationalism, racism, or any ideology derived from the (currently) limited mind of man.  Although this earthly time is finite, and the obstacles to bathing regularly in pool of higher truth are many.....the invitation here is: to begin your new relationship to the infinite now.  The message from this little social media post here is that there is a clear invitation from the God of the Bible to accept and know Him.......THE truth.
