It is a rare disorder of visual perception in which living faces look warped while most other objects look normal.

A person with PMO can usually still tell who someone is. The face itself looks stretched, drooping, swollen, grooved, discolored, cartoonish, or grotesque.

Some patients have used the word demonic. That word describes the look of the face, not a belief that the person has become a demon.
