Awareness of Awareness rambling thoughts
What keeps me up at night or what entertains me when other reasons (hormones, sugar, light/sound, etc.) keep me up at night is thinking bout awareness and what is aware of the thinking.... You’re nosing into the heart of it. "No belief is true" is just the grandaddy of the map is not the territory, so: The belief is not the true At least with maps we know they are maps, but with belief we’ve forgotten and confuse the map with the terrain so much that we can’t... I think the predicitive processing model is the best model of how we work that I have come across. It seems like it provides a framework that helps explain _why_ a bunch of various personal and interpersonal (and even some spiritual) development techniques work.... Oh also, I liked this article. It points out that there's a gap in Andy's work between extended mind and predictive processing in the realm of "consciousness"... so maybe Andy hasn't actually fully bridged these two concepts yet.... - Sara Schultz...

The word "alignment" has been reduced to meaning something like "it won't give you a meth recipe unless you know how to jailbreak it", and the companies go around saying things like "look how aligned our model is" in a way that is mostly about this property and not very much... - curiousdwk...
I assume that "AGI" here means "Artificial General Intelligence" rather than "Adjusted Gross Income". I'm not afraid of AGI being anything of significance....
