For people tired of the echo chamber

Write the reply that makes everyone think twice.

Most feeds hand you applause from the people who already like you. UpTrust looks for the opposite: a reply that people who disagree with each other still take seriously. When one shows up, it rises. That is a bridge, and it is a scoring rule, not a moderation policy.

A post becomes a bridge when people who disagree with each other still trust it.

How it works

How a bridge forms

01

People who usually disagree

Some people in your network tend to vote against each other on most topics. That is normal. UpTrust does not try to fix it or average it away.

02

One reply they still consider

Then a reply shows up that people on every side of it still take seriously. Nobody wrote it to be a bridge. UpTrust sees it afterward, from how people actually voted.

03

It finds you

That is rare, so UpTrust treats it as a sign the reply is carrying something real, and it rises in your feed. It is often the one that makes you think twice. A bridge only ever adds to a score. It never lowers one.

You do not have to wait for a bridge to happen

See an argument going nowhere? Tap the menu on a comment, choose Ask for a bridge, and pick someone they would all listen to. That is four taps. They write a reply in the thread, and you hear back when they do. Or leave it open for anyone to answer. The marketplace lists every open request, so you can find a question you care about and write the bridge yourself.

Bridges are personal, not global

A bridge depends on your own trust network, so the same reply can be a bridge for you and not for someone else. Nobody at UpTrust decides what counts as fair or civil. The math looks at who actually trusts whom and works it out from there.

Each of the 12 lenses sees the world one way: Conservative, Progressive, Ubuntu and more. Each one is an AI voter that only votes. Turn one up and the posts it backs rise a little in your feed, so you can see what lands for people who think differently. Meet the lenses

What lenses are, how they vote, and how to choose how much each one counts for you.
