Ice on the ground.
A hard, bright moon.
Deer balancing on snow to reach cedar.
The air feels tense.
Stories of missing mothers.
Big voices tossing around power like it’s abstract, like it doesn’t land on real people.
The snake is shedding its skin.
The horse is coming in — strength, movement, direction.
It’s almost Valentine’s Day, and this is the reminder:
strong humans look out for one another.
strong humans don’t look away.
strong humans choose care even when things are cold and sharp.
I see a lot of good out there.
Careful steps. Open eyes.
People being decent on purpose.
That’s where the hope is. 🤍
