Asteroid capture through encapsulation

this research paper on asteroid capture through encapsulation and pneumatics (stabilizing the asteroid through spraying it with gas) is super cool; I watched one of the authors give the presentation and it's very compelling. They envision being able to create atmospheres inside the capsules so people could be just hanging out in there in t-shirts; the asteroids have all the necessary components for a bunch of stuff including making little refueling stations, for the manufacturing in space without needing to port the raw materials from earth, etc.

Also super cool—one of the co-authors Bruce Damer is also the co-author of the hot spring hypothesis of life's origins; he got the insight from studying the origins of life.
