Hi there, you can call me Tony. I’m an audio engineer and songwriter. I started off recording bands in high school and then moved to the Nashville suburbs to cut my teeth as a recording studio engineer. One of my early clients went on to write 5 number #1 hit singles on the country music charts before launching a solo career. Afterwards I moved to New York City to refine my skills further. I taught music production for a few years in the school system and set up recording studios for a number of schools. One of my career highlights was writing and rewriting music theory and recording arts curriculum for a chain of over 80 private schools across the country. I briefly worked for Sweetwater, the largest online retailer for professional recording studio equipment and instrument retailer in the country.
I mentioned earlier I’m a songwriter, and I can say I have written easily over 250 pieces of music (I’ve cataloged most of them on a spreadsheet which is how I know).
I took a detour from the music production side of things for a while and ended up doing consulting work and becoming a fractional executive for 3 non-profits over the course of 9 years where I discovered something of a talent or gift for leadership - I turned around all 3 organizations each one in under 2 years. Each organization grew 3x to 4x in that time frame. It was work I stumbled onto and ended up just as passionate about it as I was about music.
Ultimately what I discovered what matters most in my working career and where I’ve been most successful is where there is passion and mission.
I would love to learn more about you.
Thanks,
Tony
