One Word: Physics
More words: The Laws of Thermodynamics trump Trump and all anti-science claimants.
Dynamic Equilibrium. No economic system can exceed finite resources or violate the laws of nature, i.e., the laws of physics.
Contrary to common belief. Laws of physics cannot be manipulated. Energy and matter cannot be created or destroyed, they can only be transformed. Even some so-called physicists fail to understand this truth. Some pseudo-scientists choose to ignore this truth.
Some think that speeding up, slowing down, heating up, cooling down, bending, breaking, or otherwise altering physical solids, liquids, gases etc alters natural physical processes. This is a common fallacy.
No matter what humans do to change forms and outcomes, the laws of physics prevail and the consequences of pretending to altering them are inescapable. The outcomes of human interventions are mirages. Dynamic equilibrium always prevails. Entropy follows.
Until the laws of thermodynamics are disproven, the segments of humanity that believe finite earth possesses the capacity to meet infinite demands are believing an absolute and verifiable lie.
Planet earth will provide resources sufficient to support human survival... until it won't.
