Warmth of Collectivism Feels Like 110 Degrees With No Electricity
They forced everyone toward electric buses and cars while shutting down real power plants. When the heat hit over 100 degrees and felt like 110 the system collapsed.
Thousands lost power mostly in the Bronx. People roasted in their apartments with no air conditioning and stores threw out all their food. The mayor told regular folks to turn their AC up to 78 while his offices stayed ice cold at 73 or even 61 degrees with every light burning. That is his collectivism right there.
You suffer so the bosses stay comfy. Con Edison begged for cuts and dropped voltage by 8 percent but the government buildings never missed a beat. Open hydrants killed water pressure so upper floors got brown sludge while city hall enjoyed full service. Trains ran late or canceled because escalators got shut off to save juice.
