This explains why many evil characters are loved even though they are emotionally dysfunctional mob bosses with a terrible home life, or bitter, pathetic, terminal cancer patients. Tony Soprano and Walter White have clear and present goals that they move continuously toward without self doubt. That’s the real fantasy, more than the “power” they have. #deeptakesby

    Oh, I can see it, yeah, and hadn't seen it before I think.  Has me think of characters/stories where the power aspect is missing, but the agency/identity thing is there or arriving....
