Do you trust someone who will not level with you about where his people stood with groups that have backed Hamas and worse, or do you want a senator who puts this country first no matter where the family came from. Voters can decide if that denial is honest enough for the job.
Mike Rogers is calling out Abdul El-Sayed for looking Michigan voters in the eye on Meet the Press and saying he and his family have zero ties to the Muslim Brotherhood when his own half sister posted years ago that the family has long been MB and that their mother was active in the group back in college in Egypt. That same mother later worked for a relief outfit the U.S. Treasury tagged for supporting terrorists including al Qaeda.
El-Sayed was raised mostly by his dad after the divorce and nobody has shown he personally joined anything, but when a candidate for the U.S. Senate flat out denies family history that his own sister put online it raises a simple America first question.
