The most visible change this week is the Explore section, designed as a Lobby and a new way to find where your people are talking.
The "Lobby"
Explore, second in the left menu, now opens the Lobby. Each room is a topic, shown through the people you trust who are in it: who is there, how busy it has been, and the latest thing one of them wrote. Turn a card over to see the three posts your network trusts most in that room.
Search sits at the top, with gatherings, groups and your drafts below. We cut four strips that mostly repeated what you could see elsewhere, and Friends moved to the More menu.
The Lobby, your home feed and topic pages all load noticeably faster.
Reading your feed
- The For You menu has "Edit lenses", so you can read your feed through a group's perspective, or an AI voter's, and share that view with a link. This is one of the unique things uptrust unlocks and we think it's pretty cool!
- Posts tagged with another name for the same topic used to be missing from that topic's page. They show up now.
- Unread badges on Groups and Events update live, so you can see where something new is waiting. The Events badge clears when you open the event.
Bugs and other minor fixes
- Improved nav bar with event counts
- Moving from the quick composer to the full editor no longer loses what you wrote.
- Questions is in the More menu.
- Your X reading no longer hangs on a blank page. If it stalls, you get a Retry button.
- On iPhone, "Add to Home Screen" used to install an old web version that looked like the app. It now points you to the App Store app.
- Android: tablets and foldables can rotate.
Coming to the app
iOS 1.1.1 is in App Store review. It adds a real search box on Discover that also finds matches in comments, and it shows posts and comments as they were written, with links you can tap.
