MK Ultra was not the only project. Earlier work under names like MK Delta focused on chemicals and drugs for secret operations. When MK Ultra took over, it kept using a lot of the same chemicals and ideas. The work did not stop. It just changed names and kept going in new directions. One related effort was MK Naomi. This project tested biological agents on groups of people without their knowledge. A clear example is Operation Sea Spray in 1950. The Navy sprayed bacteria called Serratia marcescens into the air off the coast of San Francisco for several days. Many people in the city got sick. The military later admitted the test but claimed the bacteria would not harm humans.
People deserve to know the full history.
