This week at UpTrust (Sep 16)

The big change this week is the home page, thanks in large part to Cici's feedback!

A new home page

The right side of the page: upcoming events, an open question that changes each visit, who is trusted on the topic you are reading, and bridges. The old top bar is gone, because we want you to get the good stuff "above the fold."

Topics now sit above your feed as tiles. Tap one and the feed narrows to that topic; tap it again and you are back to everything. (Posting is the same as before: goes to your whole network unless it's in a private group, event, or chat).

The trust lists better label what each one ranks. A list of voices is ordered by your trust, the topic's own ranking, etc.

Your X reading

Your X reading allows you to see your trust graph based on your X account.

It opens with a sentence about where you sit: the scenes you move in, who you follow, and who you actually engage. The reading also names the accounts you most trust (abstracted from x data, not as signally as UpTrust) and helps you connect: the ones already on UpTrust get a Message button, and you can share so the reading doubles as a way to bring the rest of your crew.

Two fixes from your reports: running a re-read now says "Reading in progress" instead of looking like the button did nothing, and a read that fails partway refunds itself.

Bugs and other minor fixes:

  • Archiving and reordering a group's channels, and a few other group/channel bug fixes and improvements.
  • Mobile: You can create a poll from the app now
  • Mobile: The emoji reaction row works on event walls
  • Pasting something long into a composer no longer buries the end of it behind the keyboard.
