What a Clock Actually Measures: Why physics never proved time exists
We are told that clocks measure time. We repeat it casually, as if it were discovered rather than assumed. But pause long enough — and the statement begins to thin. A clock ticks. Metal shifts. Crystals vibrate. Atoms oscillate with disciplined regularity.... 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵: 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴
For centuries, science and philosophy have been humanity’s tools for making sense of the world. These disciplines have led us to astonishing discoveries, from the intricate structure of DNA to the far reaches of the cosmos.... What is the 'Metacrisis' and How Do We Solve It? (AMA). Rewatch the live AMA conversation with Layman Pascal

No one HAS TO BE anything with the exception of themselves and, maybe, pH neutral?... Faith Science and Leadership . The Institute for Faith, Science, and Leadership proposal is pending at 3 local universities. I want to integrate Faith science and the future of leadership education to heal at least one division in our world. The fracture was based in a misunderstanding of science in order to protect the power of the Church 500 years ago. Time for reasonable discussion about how these two disciplines/schools of thought can integrate holistically.
Hello, Just a quick question. Should religion, science, and education be integrated? Folks grab their pearls over literature that fails to match their definitions of right and wrong. The church used to control science and education and burned thought-leaders at the stake.... Faith Science and Leadership

Self reliance involves emotion and consciousness. Every example of one who is self reliant, is an example of one who must rely on things beyond them.... What will the future literally look like? This idea comes from watching Mad Men- seeing smoking and drinking freely at the office for example, and my brother once pointing out that if a show or movie ever wanted to make it really clear that it was set in the 1990’s, all they’d have to do is have multiple people driving Saturn cars.
So here are a few of what I think (hope) the future will literally look like:
Gas stations will be very rare, and parking spaces will almost always have charging stations.
Having a garage in homes will be rare because car ownership will be rare. Using self-driving Uber-esque systems will be way more affordable, and car ownership then will be similar to antique car ownership now.
Lawns will be very rare, and permaculture-style of local fauna that doesn’t need care, upkeep, or watering will be common.
What do you think the future will look like?
Within 1-3 years, I suspect that it would make sense to use an AI rather than pay a human to do things like: program a computer think through maths or science problems And with less likliehood: be a therapist or coach who isn’t operating in the top 10% answer 90% of accounting... What do you think is up with ghosts? 👻
Ah, fun, I have a cool thing for this. My brother Wilson, who is very literal and practical, once told me he totally believes in ghosts. When I asked more, among the things he told me was something he had read: in some death experiences, a very specific hormone is released by the... A podcast about more joy. I’m entertaining the idea of rebooting my podcast and having a season of episodes that explore different ways of being that lead to experiencing more joy.
I’m particularly interested in hearing about ways that people don’t often associate with feeling joy. For instance, I had a recent experience where I got to express my anger, take up space, and be more vocal. It’s not a thing I would normally do because I’ve been conditioned to keep things in and be more soft-spoken. But having had that experience, I felt a greater sense of freedom and aliveness. It freed me to speak up in other situations which led me to feel more joy.
I also want to explore what it’s like to lead with joy, to prioritize joy.
(I have it in my body to prioritize being responsible.)What other angles/perspectives might be worth exploring?
Do you have any experiences/stories you’d like to share on the show?i’m into this, and i’m super into gratitude. Sometimes I think about the previous extinctions that "paved" the way to where we are today, like the great oxygenization event which wiped out 99% of genera (plural of genuses, not just species but the meta-category) and it’s wild to...
