Hey y'all,
Wars, trillionaires, and AI everything... we're all wrestling with wild change, making decisions to try to hold on, let go, or something else.
So this week: What's worth fighting to keep, and what should we let go?
Privacy. Reading. Offices. Cash. Driving your own car. Borders. Civic organizations. Social services. Everyone is mourning something the future is taking/changing, cheering something it's bringing, and probably confused about something else.
Variations on the theme:
- What would you fight for that you suspect most people here would happily let go?
- What did a past generation let go of that you're grateful for? That you grieve? What about what they held on to?
- What are people fighting to keep that's already gone? What could still be saved, but won't without a fight?
- Is "if you love it, let it go" actually true, or is it something quitters tell themselves? How much does the thing-loved get a say?
I think these questions very much matter, because I think what we create / accept is a vote on which future we inhabit. The world gets a say, but so do we.
Respond here.
Lots of love, and see (some of) you soon
