New to psychology

Did you know that if you think something makes you sicker, you're more likely to feel worse, even though your symptoms may not actually be any different? There is the myth that consuming dairy when sick will increase mucus production; when scientists tested this myth they weighed mucus, and found that while people who thought dairy increased mucus production felt worse than people who didn't, they produced the same volume of mucus as the control group.  In light of this new platform, take this as a reminder that your brain is a temple, and you should ensure that information that enters it is high quality, and true. (and if you're sick, there's no reason not to enjoy some mac and cheese)
