in the old days, back in the 60s and 70s and earlier, children were raised with certain ideals and values. Kindness, service towards others, truth, compassion, and trustworthiness. I remember hearing as a child, that we are only as good as our word. I tend to believe that is still true although these days the Internet has provided people with so many opportunities to take advantage of others and when I was a kid that would be a shockingly horrific thing to do. Where was the breakdown? When did it become OK to turn our head away from someone’s misfortune? When did our country become one that enforces rights without responsibility? Law without responsibility Seems to have become tyranny. Am I wrong?
