I started drafting an email to the Austin Relateful community about the Level Up program and thought…why don’t I just share publicly? I keep thinking the right person might be out there looking for something like this without knowing it exists. There's a new cohort starting August 13, and I'd love for the people it's meant for to actually hear about it.
So here's my account of the experience and what the impact has been on my life.
A little backstory
Seven years ago I walked into what we then called the Austin Circling Studio. I had no idea that those first steps would mark the beginning of a completely new life path.
After about a year of attending sessions, a Level Up cohort started (back then we called it SAS) and I signed up.
More than half of us in that cohort lived in Austin, and that turned out to matter more than I expected. We practiced together often between the in-person immersion weekends, ran our own flows, and led at the studio. The immersions themselves were something else entirely, the kind of concentrated time together that changes how you know people. I grew close with folks who traveled in for those weekends too. I recall just last year walking into a totally unrelated training and running into someone from my cohort I hadn't spoken to in probably four years (life, you know), and I immediately felt like home with him again.
Almost everyone facilitating at the Austin studio today was in that cohort.
I was 29 when I started Level Up. It was a big investment for me at the time, so I used a payment plan.
What changed for me
I cannot say that everything that happened afterward was caused by Level Up, but it absolutely shaped me. My life changed in ways I did not expect.
I went from middle management to becoming a CEO. I became trusted by some of the most influential people in Austin. I shifted from drinking many nights a week to maybe once every couple of months and learned I did not need alcohol as a social lubricant. I transformed codependent habits that were hurting me and others. I went through a breakup inside the program, since my partner at the time was also in the cohort, and we both learned a new way to separate while being supported by our community. I showed up so differently in my relationships that two close friends later joined Level Up. I learned to feel my emotions, reconnect with my body, and love humans deeply.
And I am still learning. There are things I want in life that have not happened yet. I did not join Level Up to fix anything. I joined to deepen my practice with a tight group of people, and as many of you know and have experienced, the release of outcomes often generates the most surprising change.
Level Up offers certification for those that want to lead Relateful sessions, but to be honest- it’s far more about the journey than the credential.
Why I’m sharing
Level Up runs on a cohort model, so you go through it with a group, wherever you are. The next one starts August 13.
And if you're in Austin, even better. I would love to see a group of local folks go through it together again. Doing it alongside people you already practice with makes the whole thing richer, and our studio sessions would be so much better for it. You'd enjoy them more, and the whole community would benefit.
If any of this resonates and you want to know more, talking to someone on the Relateful team is the best place to start. We do context calls and can help you figure out if it's a good fit, because it's not for everyone, and we know that.
If you've been through something that changed your life in a similar way, I'd love to hear about it.
