The people selling the AI revolution are cashing out billions while ordinary investors are left holding the bag and hoping the hype keeps paying off. Nvidia insiders alone unloaded roughly $2 billion in shares over twelve months, while executives across 51 AI related companies sold $15.5 billion.
Yes, many sales were scheduled in advance, and selling shares does not automatically mean these executives expect a crash. But here is the uncomfortable question nobody should ignore: if AI represents the extraordinary future its promoters keep promising, why is insider buying so rare while the cash is flowing out the door? These executives may still own billions in stock, but they have also secured fortunes that most investors will never see in a lifetime.
They can afford to be wrong.
The average investor cannot. This does not prove the AI boom is a bubble, but it exposes the brutal imbalance between those selling the dream and those gambling their money on it. Stop confusing corporate success with a guarantee of investor profits. When insiders are cashing out at this scale, blind faith is not an investment strategy. It is a risk that somebody else may be getting paid to leave behind.
