New to ethics

Ok guys…after replying to a post…legitimate concern popped up…so I’ll express it directly.

Im seeing a lot of discussion of politics/polarized thinking…and someone mentioned how would we keep “hate “ out i

of the discussion.   I replied that hate would most assuredly appear..but so would reason, compassion, and even synergistic approaches to previously polarized issues. And the upvotes will naturally flow in that direction.

But that brings me to this message.  Do we have any systemic/coded safety measures in place to avoid the opposite being true?  For example…a huge us/vs/them political argument breaks out and users momentarily confuse upvotes and downvotes for ammunition…😅…striking down anyone on the other side…upvoting anyone on their side.  You know the old primal song-n-dance.

I believe in the core ideas of this initiative…have already discovered the central importance of Hegelian dialectic in the algorithm… and if given time and legitimate discourse amongst a well-meaning ( or at least NOT ill-intended ) populace, I’m hopeful we might see some small, or substantial, leaps in our collective consciousness…but I sincerely believe there should be safety measures in place to stop the abuse of the voting system in less than a legitimate/sincere manner so we’ve get the chance to really HAVE a chance.

I’d meant for far fewer words…thank you for your time and attention.

With proactive sincerity,

TruthTeller (Logan)
