There’s an element of my persona that chases grandiosity that I don’t like that is <over-the-top gratuitously symbolized by / really easy to project onto> someone who puts his name on a building in giant gold letters....

I've been asking that question myself lately. It's an impossible task. One that insists that we chase imaginary worth, (oddly according to its own definition) as well as objectify and minimize the worth of others. I wish we didn't believe them......
