I'm not a fan of generative AI in general, and LLM technology specifically. I think its capabilities are being drastically over-hyped. It's a perfect, sweaty example of a solution looking for a problem. I'm skeptical of many claims people are making wrt how it's helping them.... I grew up bilingual English-German in Germany. English at home, German at school. When I was 19 I moved to the UK to go to university and I discovered completely new aspects of myself that had not had room in the German language.... - sass...

Just to elaborate on this, (after a helpful interaction w chatgpt re language learning this morning): I know so little about Japanese, compared to chatgpt that asking it for help about things it would otherwise be hard to get help for is net positive in my language learning.... By any chance is anyone here learning Japanese, or considering it?
It would be nice to have a buddy! I'm still in pretty early stage, but after a few false starts have found a groove that's leading to progress. If you already speak Japanese and feel like doing an act of service and struggling through a conversation with me, that would be awesome... - Shera JoyCry...
You kinda speak Portuguese, that’s super interesting and awesome. Did you like the 100? Somehow didn’t get past a few episodes, was so excited bout it when it came out.
