A nation-state is always a curious mixture of nation (a people, ethos) and state (an economic and military management zone). They never perfectly overlap. And there may be a minimum amount of homogeneity necessary to support increased diversity.... - onAmericans are a free people. Free people do not have to give anything to anyone. Helping widows, orphans and disabled people is done using Free Will with help from our Republic and churches. As free people, we take care of ourselves.
