The "go outside every day" thing is for real. I started going out for winter hikes about 10 years ago, and one of the things I discovered was that the places that felt familiar and rote to me in the summer and fall looked entirely different in the winter.... Thursday was the last day of my vacation/staycation. And like all foggy-misty-rainy weekdays, it was a perfect day to visit Parfrey's Glen. I got there just before 10:00 after making a brief stop at nearby Owen County Park....
