For six weeks we’ve gone for the contested stuff: a shadowy cabal, immigration, abortion, guns, voting, DEI. Many of you showed up with strong, thoughtful views. Some think these conversations are pointless because nobody changes their mind.... - lightseeker...
Exactly. The tobacco example demonstrates the mechanism beautifully because the manipulation wasn't primarily about presenting a new fact. It was about reassigning meaning. Smoking wasn't merely advertised as smoking.... I like applying that to changing you beliefs, hadn't thought of that before, thanks!
