transportation
Good evening potential troublemakers!
Good evening to those crazy enough to think they can change the world, and stupid enough to try! For us? We think taking Mass transit into Arlington, Texas to see a Baseball of Football Game is inevitable and the Vision 34 Corridor was created for that purpose.... Flight Delays
My sister and her hubby had their flight out of Toronto delayed 5 hours so they’ll miss both the shuttles from the airport to camp. Their ETA is ~4:45pm Houston time, and they did check a bag so they’ll probably be through all the hoops by 5:30ish.... Rideshares to and from austin

SHUTTLE TIMES UPDATE
Hey everyone. The shuttle scheduled to leave IAH at 8:0pm on April 2nd has now been changed to leave at 4:00pm Shuttle schedule is now as follows: April 2 Leave IAH for Camp Olympia at 12:30pm and 4pm. April 6 Leaves Camp Olympia for IAH at 6:30am and 1:30pm.... What's your view on EMFs? What do you belief about EMFs? I keep hearing seemingly reputable people warning about them. My husband says the argument isn’t scientifically sound. If you think EMFs are harmful, why, and how do you reduce exposure? I use wireless headphones a lot- my phone not so much.
Car-less in that a certain part of downtown will only be for public transportation. I don’t miss driving at all. A lot of times when in US i did Uber, even tho I could drive my mom’s car. Using it regularly, Uber can get expensive.... What will the future literally look like? This idea comes from watching Mad Men- seeing smoking and drinking freely at the office for example, and my brother once pointing out that if a show or movie ever wanted to make it really clear that it was set in the 1990’s, all they’d have to do is have multiple people driving Saturn cars.
So here are a few of what I think (hope) the future will literally look like:
Gas stations will be very rare, and parking spaces will almost always have charging stations.
Having a garage in homes will be rare because car ownership will be rare. Using self-driving Uber-esque systems will be way more affordable, and car ownership then will be similar to antique car ownership now.
Lawns will be very rare, and permaculture-style of local fauna that doesn’t need care, upkeep, or watering will be common.
What do you think the future will look like?
I imagine access to temporary car ownership becoming much easier and more affordable than it is now. And I imagine the percentage of cars that are owned primarily for fun (antiques, people who enjoy the feel of driving certain cars, etc) staying the same.... What will the future literally look like?
