This more general question is really important to me. I had a very negative experience just going with the "I trust you," vibe for years and then ending up with a feeling of shock and betrayal.... I’ve made this point in regards to trust on uptrust, that there may not be much merit to "trust" in general without the topic/thing you trust the person for. But others have made other claims....
