So cool to read this. Had me think of a version of rank-choice voting where you can weight your choices too, spread out 100 units of your preference among as many people as you want.... In Australia we have compulsory voting. You get fined if you don’t vote. I think that came from a belief that we’re pretty apathetic and might not engage with the system otherwise. If rank choice voting is green, it’s a healthy-af green that transcends tier. The way it goes about finding a majority gathers a ton of additional info that lets so much more be known about what’s valued across the board, while mitigating any risk of the decision process getting... - annabeth...
I can imagine UpTrust being able to meet the babysit-type thing very easily. And I used to live in one of those community homes for 3 years. It was definitely cool in a ton of ways, and it meant I had just about the least lonely Covid around....
