I did once; for the first time I voted "against" a candidate I didn't like, the old "lesser of two evils" which I had always hoped not to do. But it felt like the right choice for me and our society at the time....

Early on, I was taught to have a servant's attitude. To me, picking up trash left behind is more a community service - a good thing - than a matter of personal balance. It's important to improving beauty in the world....

  • ↳onHi.  I’m a passionate progressive, desperate to stop the damage being done by this administration, by helping to create the biggest Blue Wave possible in the upcoming midterm elections.  I suspect that the right wing, including the Republicans and other allies with unlimited funding will be doing everything they possibly can to steal these elections, through voter suppression and actual vote manipulation (cheating) that they are preparing for but that we will be blind to.  So I believe that our only realistic hope lies in massive voter turnout that overwhelms their ability to cheat.  What makes this task even more difficult is that they have virtually total control over the media through their corporate ownership, and they are willing to manipulate the news for their benefit.  It’s going to take a lot of social action, in the streets and in social media platforms like this to get around the obstacles they have put in place.byKKEVIN_PARIS

I concur!! We need to STOP this administration as quickly as possible. And I agree completely with all youve said. I just do not want to pin my hopes on a "party" saving the day....

At the root are citizens serving each other and the government. The free citizen is the root.

If you don’t want to take the time to learn about what you are voting for, then it is probably best you don’t vote.

I agree with your perspective on voter ID. Why? Because, for what it's worth, since this is the only thing that gives all citizens an equal say regarding the authority we invest in the stewardship of our country, it is everyone's best interest to guarantee the integrity of the...

This rights and responsibilities way of looking at it (it being political history?) is new to me, and yeah what you say about our lack of clear ~guidance on responsibilities today makes a lot of sense to me. Thanks for this!...
