How i would approach the inquiry is - is there a way to cover the ding, like some art or magnets? If it’s not coverable with something that brings joy… then… consider $150 and break it into days. Like how many years will you have it most likely?... Flooding: I am no expert nor experienced (yet!) but the things that pop to mind for me are 1. Put a french drain through your yard, from the low point to somewhere lower?... good idea. btw I had a contractor make my whole backyard into a slope going into one drain when we redid the deck before out wedding-celebration-thingy, and it works, but i really wish i’d stuck with my gut and had him also put in some french... I agree with many people here about moving the driveway. I think you’ll be happier, it will look better, and will probably increase the resell value of the house. As for what to do with that space, do you hang out in your front yard? Do you want to?... thank you for this! unfortunately the french drain would be a big pain to put in. the next lowest point on the property is the creek behind the house so it would require a lot of digging.... - renee...
I’m for moving the driveway to the other side. I grew up in a house where my bedroom was the only one at the front of the house and it overlooked a beautiful yard. Imagining you’ll value the view and your home much more....
