A Thing I Want: More Playful Imaginal Experiments
I'm almost shaking-quivering with excitement here, and I have to try to say something, but there's no really good way to say it. So here's the bad/incomplete/short version: Play more with your imagination, it's fun! --- Let's start small. Imagine you have a box in your hands.... I relate! One thing I've been doing recently is notice every time I prioritize finishing a work project over time with my kids, and make sure time with my kids is also playing - pretending to be "Ghosty, Gobby, and Ariel" and wrestling and stuff not just taking care of them.... - Rydersop...
I grieve the loss of playing, exploring, experimenting and having dangerous fun as a kid in a neighborhood. We learned so much, made friends, survived without supervision, water bottles and phones and we are better for it....
