If the AI knows who to replicate, it knows who to compensate. Spotify compensates the artists who put their music on spotify. AI companies are sitting on piles of cash, directly replicating art via specific consumer demand, and it would be very simple to provide compensation to... - Staci...
Metacrisis is a state of disagreement. Agreement is the solution. Example: AI models are vulnerable to being used for creating sexualized images of children. The platform vulnerabilities can be documented.... - So8res...
I think that would definitely help! I think it'd both help make it much easier for our leaders to notice that their very lives are in danger, and help put pressure on them to change the situation.... - theodora...

But the AI doesn't necessarily change, and will be extremely convincing.... What's actually happening with AI?: Cautious builders
On a Tuesday in October 2024, Anthropic published Claude’s character spec — the actual internal reasoning about what kind of entity they were trying to build. Page after page of agonized trade-offs.... What's actually happening with AI?: The Story
A six-year-old in San Francisco told an LLM to build her a game about a cat that collects stars. She could not spell "function." Within forty minutes she had a working program with a scoreboard.... i really appreciate this point; for similar reasons I've been a little shy getting to into AI with my kids. This morning my son wanted to ask AI "how are electrons created?" which is freaking cool.... Open Question March 11: Free Speech, but who draws the lines?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdx9n317Wpw Free speech rules and culture today have a huge impact on the future: Tech companies + algorithms determine who gets heard in 'public'......
