I do not think any of the three branches should have the ability to pull a network's license, because of personal ties to network owners. I believe that there should be a non political procedure that oversees any complaints, violations etc.... FCC license power now holds the off switch on critical networks
The FCC has always held the power to give or take licenses for radio TV and wireless services. That power can force a station or service offline by denying renewal or pulling the permit.
