from thomas keating: prayer hands pointing up is a material symbol of gathering all your faculties together and pointing them toward God. contemplating a "sacred" word is a mental pointer in the same way.... - John r Blake...
"Prayer us a technology." This is an incredible observation. I propose am edit: prayer is a Divine technology offered to each of us freely. Dr Stanley once taught: prayer was not A PART OF JESUS LIFE. Prayer WAS Jesus Life.... - onHi! A little about me. I'm a Wisconsinite. I am in my first year of retirement from teaching. I feel I have had lots of different experiences both in school and out of school. I am a cardiac arrest survivor from ventricular fibrillation and had an 80% blockage angioplastied. Last year I had my first battery replacement. I am married and my husband has 1 year of retirement in. We have 2 adult sons. The oldest is married and is a step dad. The youngest is not married yet. My parents are deceased and I have no siblings. My life has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, right from my birth. I enjoy camping, gardening (though I am not a green thumb), family and my Chihuahua/ beagle, Snoopy. I am a person full of life experience contrast, one beingcontrasts such as being spiritual yet not church going. I hope my experiences can help others. 😀byMinnie...

We must stay the course and keep the faith.... - onok, not to be a downer or start a fight or offend anyone , I just would like to ask if anyone here has thoughts on the global political scene. I am 58 and have never given two fucks about politics because I just always knew it was a joke, a scam, a game being run on the people. But the moves lately have caught my attention. Yet, I do not watch TV at all. for almost 10 years. Because it is an tool used to control perception and thereby behavior. And I like to be free from control. I have some very radical beliefs, but I am always interested in learning how other people feel and think about their life. I know I am intelligent enough to believe I do not know everything and also that every belief I have now has been expanded from something that came before it so all of my beliefs are subject to be expanded. so if you engage with me be prepared to not take anything I say as something I expect you to adapt to. I have strong feelings, radical beliefs, and I would love seeing if anyone else is fed up with the entire system as I am. 🤸🤸🤸🌼bySassiebrat67...
I sat down to pray. My heart was broken, my soul was heavy and words wouldn't come out st all. Thoughts were intrussive and my there was no peace anywhere. And so I sad down and spoke to the Lord and said.. I'm here father. I'm here. A voice inside my head said: I know.... - onI’m a retired exec chef and food services director that worked in Christian camping.
