Hello! Just found this & am intrigued enough to join. I’m 74 & just overwhelmed with our total lack of decency & willingness to just converse with one another. I find people to be the most delightful creatures when engaged in truly thoughtful conversation, about anything.... Dude I really appreciate the inquiry this is part of why I just stay clear of this space. I have no idea what’s good or not! Kinda like Nat’s hydrogen water post.... Strange curveball: I used to be all about probiotics and fiber and I’ve been trying enzymes instead…getting better poo results and feeling better. Did some reading online about how the pancreas makes enzymes, gets worse at it as we age, AND (to my surprise) said that eating too... I also loved reading
Both candidates are too fucking old to be president. One is a crazy and too old. The other is selfish and even more too old.

Reflecting upon my 70 years on this planet. The tough times and my mental health issues (bipolar and anxiety) have made me stronger. I have a number of close friends which enrich my life. I have enough income for the basics and for enjoyment as well as savings.... - Cg123...
I believe that as I age I find my heart yearns for others to embrace this trust in the world, society and in one another. We have been distracted far too long from what we are, how we got that way and seem impatient with change.... How to be 65 when I thought I would be dead long ago. I planned for none of this.
- onI'm visiting my family this weekend and staying in my parents' home. I always appreciate spending time with them. But it's also hard seeing them struggle with health issues. I wish I could do more to help them. They're the type to medicate first, which isn't my preferred first course of action. My suggestions often fall on deaf ears. They've developed their ways of being over years and while I don't always agree with these ways, I accept who they are and continue to offer ways to support them.by
Maybe, just maybe suggestions are not what your parents need or want from you. I'm 70 and my health issues run the gambit...heart attack, several mini strokes, one major stroke, COPD, knee replacements, hip and back surgery, diabetic and the list goes on.... - onI'm a 73 year old veteran who lost his job a couple years ago a worry every day because I'm living off SS.byBriGuy...
Had a TIA and went from a wheelchair to a walker, and now I use a cane. Balance can be an issue for me as well.
No one told me that getting old (I'm 61) would happen so fast.

I would tend to concur. Aging has a way of supplying trials that corner you in the dark stairwell of yourself. Do you find the energy and courage to mount another step or perch with or without satisfaction on this little step while others tried on by.... - onWhat do you wish more people truly knew, understood, or acknowledged, about the realities of senior care and living in senior community facilities? Examples: compassion, challenges, emotional toll, financial strain, etc. Residents, families, staff, leaders/admins; all perspectives welcome. Tell your story, and encourage others to participate. I just put my 91 year old mother in one, and it’s very hard at first on the elderly if they have not wanted to move into one but now must stay because of safety concerns .
