I liked 3 Body Problem, Liu Cixin, Netflix. Particularly the video game scenes. I wanted to post an image in here but can’t. Jess Hong is a babe. I really enjoyed the crazy-gorgeous Asian female leads.... I’ve heard a few folks say things like "… and then they recreated the same imbalance in its opposite" about the Barbie movie, and my recollection of the film was that they seemed to do that on purpose, call it out, and start moving towards a synthesis / new choice at the end.... this makes me think: I'm not a history buff, but a few years ago I read The Lessons of History by Will & Ariel Durant, and it changed my mind about income inequality—I used to think, "As long as the lives of the lowest are improving, why does the gap matter?" yeah totally. And i don’t know if your mom would find this an example of progress, but #metoo was, in my opinion, almost entirely catalyzed by trump’s unconsciousness around women....
