My Journey with Claude Code
The more I use Claude Code, the more impressed I become. I keep throwing progressively harder problems at it, and whenever the problem is conceptually tractable, it can usually just solve it.... Web Discussions: Flat by Design (2012)
web archive (original URL is broken) A web discussion about threaded versus linear web discussions. I recommend reading the article and many of its comments. I think the two approaches aren’t mutually exclusive and that the best design will be something that includes both.... Frontend Code Review Policy
Frontend Code Review Policy Speed of iteration over perfection - Frontend development is inherently iterative. It is often better to ship something and then iterate on it than trying to get it perfect from the get go.... - annabeth...
Oh this is a cool way to look at this! It’s reminding me of the unexpected difficulty of trying to find a quiz builder that didn’t base all results on there being right and wrong answers. It was so hard to find that this almost single-handedly shut down the whole project.... I've done very little vibe coding. I played with it for coding some a year or so ago, and the rate of inaccuracy meant that it just never felt worth my time. Like, I don't mind typing.... Two thoughts The numbered list at the end seems phrased weirdly, as #2 and #3 seem to contradict. Maybe just eliminate #2, and rephrase #3 like "After posting for review, the code can be push if..." This week at UpTrust (Aug 12)
In addition to a bunch of trust score and safety minor bug fixes and improvements, this week saw the release of a bunch of experiments. We really need to announce this stuff better, but we're too busy having fun building, playing, experimenting...... - dmey...
Hi. Checking out this app for now. I'm passionate about my daughter and advocating for those with rare conditions and disabilities. My other passions are music, books, travel and animal welfare. I am drawn to oddball subjects and objects.... - onIf we don't build credibility-aware epistemics into agent decision-making from the start, we've locked in the current system's worst properties for another decade.by
@jordan just checking you know you wrote this in Uptrust Dev and not general

yeah right now @ mentioning is the most extremely simple version possible,* but there's a merge request up in code review right now for getting notifications!... Ah yeah- we also don’t show up/downtrusts as a number. It’s another area where we’re aiming to differentiate trust from attention. We added emoji reactions as a way for folks to have engagement.... Thoughts on AI coding an effifciency?
would love yalls thoughts on this. Here’s a provocative start: This whole thing is bullshit. So if you're a developer feeling pressured to adopt these tools — by your manager, your peers, or the general industry hysteria — trust your gut....
