I understand what you're saying, but in my experience when someone is in active addiction they usually are too far gone to know whether or not they want it.... My personal experiences with addiction have been painful and complicated. My mother, who is now deceased, was a pedophile. Later in life, my husband struggled with video game addiction, though he eventually recovered. Well, I struggled more than he did!...
