Can you set up an event for me?

Create an UpTrust event (create_event)

Once you and your assistant have settled the details, it creates the event under your account: title, time, place or online link, description, capacity, trust threshold, topics, and a header image from a link. It should confirm the details with you first. The response includes the event’s link.

Ask it like this

  • “Set up a coffee meetup next Friday at 9am at the corner cafe.”
  • “Create an online book club for the first Tuesday of next month.”

When another tool fits better

Before you use it

  • It needs the Create events and send invitations for you permission, which UpTrust asks you to approve when you connect.
  • It writes to UpTrust, and what it writes can be changed or removed afterwards. Its effects reach people or services beyond your own account.
  • In Claude, connect https://mcp.uptrusting.com/mcp. It is not on the ChatGPT address, https://mcp.uptrusting.com/chatgpt. How to connect.

What your assistant is told

Your assistant decides when to use this tool from the title and description UpTrust’s server gives it. Here they are exactly as the server sends them.

Tool name
create_event
Title
Create an UpTrust event
Description
Use this when the user asks to create, host or schedule an UpTrust event and the details are settled; it creates the event under their account. To change an event that already exists, use update_event. This is the commit point, not a drafting tool: confirm the title, exact start time, timezone, visibility, location or online URL, description, capacity, trust threshold, topics, and header image with the user before calling. A header image is attached by passing `headerImageUrl`, a public https URL the server fetches and re-hosts on the UpTrust CDN — pass a link, never image data. The response echoes the resolved stored fields plus the canonical event URL.
