Your assistant deletes one of your own messages or replies, as the app’s delete does. Deleting a message also deletes every reply under it, including other people’s. There is no undo, and notifications it already sent are not recalled. Your assistant should check with you first when you did not name the exact message.
Ask it like this
- “Delete the message I just posted in the book club.”
- “Remove my reply under Sam’s question.”
When another tool fits better
- Can you fix what I posted?
You want to reword it instead.
Before you use it
- It needs the Post for you permission, which UpTrust asks you to approve when you connect.
- It writes to UpTrust, and part of what it does cannot be undone, such as notifications already sent or text it replaces.
- In Claude, connect

What your assistant is told
Your assistant decides when to use this tool from the title and description UpTrust’s server gives it. Here they are exactly as the server sends them.
- Tool name
delete_channel_message- Title
- Delete one of the user's own channel messages or replies
- Description
Use this when the user asks you to delete one of their own messages or thread replies in an UpTrust group channel: it deletes it, as the app's delete does. To reword it instead, use edit_channel_message. Pass `messageId` for a message or `replyId` for a reply, never both. Only the user's own, including ones they typed themselves. It takes every reply under it with it, anyone's: a message its whole thread (`repliesDeleted` counts them). It cannot be undone, and the notifications it sent are not recalled. Delete only what the user asks you to, and confirm first when they did not name the exact message: deleting a message others may have answered takes their replies too. When unsure whether anyone has replied, read the thread first with read_channel_thread.
