Right now we design everything — infrastructure, institutions, even relationships — around what survives the next quarter, not the next century. A 500 year mindset forces humility.... There is hope for change. It won't be overnight but there is hope. The internet is plagued with Hedon's and self-sabotaging trends, however, there will always be pushback to that kind of culture.... I think you're onto something—that this would make a difference. I also think this could help harness collective intelligence to focus on where we can change things, which we dearly need....
