If UpTrust isn't right for you, you can close your account for good. This frees you from the site and takes your name off what you posted.
Where to find it: Open Settings and scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom.
How to delete
- In the Danger Zone, click Delete.
- Type your password.
- Type your display name to confirm you mean it.
- Click Delete Account.
What happens to your stuff
Deleting cannot be undone. Your account is gone, and you're signed out. Your old posts and comments stay on the site so conversations still make sense, but your name comes off them. Where your name used to be, people will see [deleted] instead.
Tip
If you just need a break, you don't have to delete. You can turn off alerts in notification settings and step away. Your account will be here when you come back.
